Intricately Carved Brass Incense Holder: Beauty meets function and form in this delightful little incense burner. Perfect for charcoal and cones, our solid brass burner makes filling your home with fine fragrance a breeze. The base is a solid brass etched with abstract floral and geometric designs, topped with a removable screen for ease of use and cleaning. A natural wooden coaster is included.
Copal: is a tree resin that comes from the Copal Trees, Protium copal, of Central America. It has been used for centuries by Mexican and Central American native cultures where it was burned during ceremonies and rituals.
This is a White Copal. It has a soft, sweet smell when burnt, and is used to help clear the room of negative scents and energies.
Charcoal: This kit comes with charcoal that is easy to light and burns hot to easily melt your resin.
Caution: The brass burner will become hot once the charcoal is burning. Please do not touch the burner until the charcoal is exhausted and the burner is cool. To prevent damage to furniture, place the burner on the wooden coaster provided, and keep the burner away from flammable objects. Always practice good fire safety when burning incense.
How to Burn White Copal Resin:
* Carefully light the charcoal using a match or a lighter stick. Let the charcoal heat up. It will spark and crack and begin to turn light grey.
* Once the charcoal is hot drop pieces of the resin on top of hot charcoal and it will melt to create a sweet smoke.
Note: The size of the resin chunks may vary from small crystals to large pieces. Even the smallest pieces are burnable.
